Fausta Borsani is an agricultural engineer with economical specialisation and an expert in the field of sustainability and human rights.
After her graduation from the ETH Zurich, she worked for large companies as well as for various NGOs. She was responsible for ethical projects and issue management at Migros (Switzerland’s largest retail chain) where she built up sustainability communication and projects for the most important commodities as well as strengthened the supply chains of the whole assortment, introducing and controlling ethical standards. Later she acted as Head of Corporate Responsibility at the travel company Kuoni, with focus on projects against sex tourism and human trafficking, climate resilience of tourism destinations, working conditions on premises and water resources conflicts.
Her last employment was as project director of the Foundation for Sexual Health, where she developed prevention projects in collaboration with the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health FOPH. She now works as an independent consultant focusing on sustainability and human rights.
